The Visionary
Mrs. Nikeia Wilson

Nikeia Williams was born and raised in Paterson, NJ. At an early age, Nikeia’s passion for dance became a deep love. However, the confidence for the call was not there. Still being amazed by the art she always made time to watch cheerleading competitions, attend her family and friend’s dance recitals’ as well as secretly choreographing dances in the bathroom of her house. Although her shyness in her own mind kept her from any formal dance training God honored her desire and began shifting some things that her destiny and purpose would indeed be fulfilled. In 1998 Nikeia heard the call again while attending her church’s afternoon youth service as the dancers of the church began to minister. This time she began to pray and seek God for clarity as to what he was calling her to do. Months passed and God began to open the door that would lead her to greatness by allowing her to see a cablevision ad seeking a Praise Dance Instructor for The Inner Faith Performing Arts Center (non-profit youth organization). Conformation and peace became the motivation for her swift response to the assignment at hand.
While serving as the Dance Instructor for the Center under Rasona Elder’s great teaching, Nikeia choreographed all of the center’s annual plays and Special Events. Within months the dance ministry began to grow in quantity as well as exposure through requests to minister at many church and outreach functions. During that time she has gained attention receiving praises for her work on 98.7 KISS FM Inspirations, as well as choreographing a piece that landed the True Vine Inner Faith Praise Dancers a spot in the 2004 McDonald‘s Gospel fest semi-finals were over 23,000 ministries compete from the tri-state. Nikeia has performed various venues throughout the metropolitan area including opening for the NY’S Share for Life Foundation and hip hop designer Effay Nyrie, to name a few.
In October of 2004 once again God had begun to deal with Nikeia regarding youth in a more detailed way. Nikeia’s idea of sponsoring a youth retreat was the actual birth of a youth Faith-Based Youth organization called Heavenly Divine. The mission is to educate urban youth ages 5 to 17 on the principles extolled by the Gospel such as sportsmanship, health, etiquette, individual responsibilities, and community by providing them with and engaging them in various recreational and social activities. In December of 2004 Heavenly Divine, Inc was incorporated and in May of 2006 it became a 501(c) (3) public charitable foundation. The ministry has made great efforts to equip our future leaders through outreach activities that will help them understand and aim for excellence in all they desire to be and do.
Nikeia has always had a heart to serve others and by the Grace and Will of God. Through the many challenges that may come along with a calling, Nikeia has been able to persevere and stand through it all. In the years since the inception of her calling God has given her extraordinary blessings and favor upon her life. The desire of becoming a positive role model has manifested in the lives of those that Nikeia comes in contact with as her frequently favorite words explains it all” To God Be The Glory…For The Things He Has Done”!
